Ann sent me the delightful papers from the Summer Breeze and Sunday Market collection from My Little Shoebox recently and today I had the opportunity to play a little – read here … to be creative.

I’ve added a little distressing [and only a little], a dab here and there of Tim Holtz distress ink – Victorian velvet, a few absolutely ancient rub-ons, some ribbon and a few feathers.

Last week I made some flowers  using Prima’s Annalee range of papers – from a 6×6 pad, I’ve  tucked under a few Prima leaves and added a little bling and so I decided to add these to my layout.

So while we stay indoors and out of the snow for the better part of the weekend, it was wonderful to create a layout that reminds me that Summer is just around the corner.

Create a Spellbinders frame and use the beautiful Webster’s Pages papers to cut 

Your designs from and create gorgeous spiral flowers to embellish your cards. 

Please bring a basic kit including adhesives , craft mat, trimmer and a Cuttlebug if you have one.

Sue Smith

Here’s a bit about Sue so you can get to know her better.

Hi! My name is Sue. I live in Warkworth, a beautiful little town about 50minutes drive north of Auckland, on a very pretty block of land with a big garden, some native bush and overlooking the Mahurangi River. My DH is the gardener and I am the overseer! LOL! We have three grown up children, 2 sons and a daughter, who have left home and are all settled, two nearby and one in Sydney.

I have always been a craft addict and after years of quilt and bear making I came across scrapbooking when a friend talked me into going to a Creative Memories party. So, now, I not only have a cupboard full of waiting fabric, but a room full of patterned paper, flowers, ribbons etc, etc, etc!!! I love it all!

I love doing a variety of styles in my scrapbooking. I love challenges and I love helping and inspiring others.

I am also on the DT of a new challenge blog, Southern Girls Challenge.

I have loved the new Scottie Crafts shop from the moment it opened and              I am very excited to be joining the group of very talented, inspiring  and fun girls on the DT!

Friday the 24th September – Week Six – Blast from the Past

Get crafty with distressing techniques, ink, and Tim Holtz alterations  to create a vintage look with your layout.  This layout can be for either a large landscape photo or two smaller photos. Places are strictly limited so book early. Each class in this series costs $15 plus an initial cost of a kit which is  used as a base for the series.

Please bring a basic kit including adhesives , craft mat, trimmer and distress tool  if you have one.

Thursday the 23rd September – Jasmine Double Time

Get crafty with paper, fine cutting and premade chipboard pieces and do a double layout in this class. You can create it as two single layouts if you prefer.  This layout can be for lots of  photos of an event or like my example a lot of different photos in a photo shoot. Places are strictly limited so book early. The class costs $15 plus cost of the product.

Please bring a basic kit including adhesives , craft mat, trimmer and fine cutting tool if you have one.

By adding some hand stitching and a butterfly Michelle created a different look to her layout, great work Michelle!
